Dear Dr. Rasmussen,

First and foremost I would like to thank you for succeeding in treating my chronic cough with acupuncture. As I explained to you I have had this cough for almost three years and have been treated by my own doctor with antibiotics, steroids and a multitude of different medications.

As the cough continued I was sent to a Pulmonary Specialist, allergy specialist, ENT at Loma Linda University, digestive center, another try at a different ENT doctor and to a cardiologist and then back to the Pulmonary Specialist. The results were all the same, no change in the cough.

The last ENT doctor I went to said, "There is nothing I can do for you.", you might try changing your blood pressure medicine (which I did), keep cough drops in your mouth at all times and gave me a prescription for steroids (which were the same steroids my doctor had given me early on) and a note that said I wasn't contagious that I had a chronic cough in case I was on a plane/restaurant or somewhere that people would be concerned with my cough.

She proceeded to explain to me that acupuncture began some 3,000 years ago with someone just like me who had something "haywire" and they began using needles until the person seemed to be better. She also stated that she didn't believe in acupuncture. Had she not been so rude I would of never have thought to try acupuncture. It set off a thought wave and after I went home very upset, I told my husband (who is a chiropractic patient of yours) that I was going to call and see if you have ever treated anyone with a chronic cough.

You personallyu returned my call the same day and suggested I come in for a consultation. You worked diligently to find answers and suggestions for me, ie. hone/lemon, change my diet and be sure to keep myself hydrated, etc.

To be able to sleep through the night without waking up 5-8 times coughing, to have a telephone conversation and be able to complete it without having to hang up because I couldn't stop coughing or to eat a meal without any coughing is just wonderful! You have truly given me my life back and I will be forever grateful to you. I am sure I will need some "follow-up sessions", but I know they will be successful!

I couldn't have asked for any better fcare than what you provided. With much thanks and appreciation.

Dear Dr. Rasmussen,

I spent six months under medical attention for bronchial infections. After receiving treatment from three medical doctors with little relief, I made an appointment with Dr.Rasmussen for acupuncture treatment. I have never had acupuncture treatment before and frankly I was a little nervous. After three weeks of treatment I felt like all my bronchial problems were solved. Once again I am back to health......THANK YOU Dr. Rasmussen.

My name is Louis I have had carpal tunnel syndrome for many years. I have taken many different medications it always seemed nothing would work. I finally went to a Orthopedic Surgeon, I was told my carpal tunnel was very severe, they could do the surgery but it probably wouldn't do any good. I was scheduled for surgery. In the mean time I was talking to Dr. Donelle Rasmussen, she told me she would try Acupuncture on both my wrists I was unable to use my fingers, I would drop things it was very frusterating, after a few treatments I am able to bend my fingers and make a fist. I would recommend it to anyone, because it truly has helped me. So any one that has a problem like I had please call Dr. Donelle Rasmussen

Very Truly Yours,
Louis Alexander

In July 2008 I was diagnosed with a severe case of De Quervain's tenosynovitis of the left thumb/wrist. The MRI actually showed a hole in my tendon. So I went to see an orthopedic surgeon who prescribed occupational therapy with a hand specialist twice per weef for a month and that I wear a brace on my wrist 24/7. I did this with slight improvements. He then prescribed another month of therapy...again with slight improvements. This went on for a total of four months and at the end of the fourth month, I met Dr. Rasmussen do to a back injury. During my chiropractic visit with her, I asked her if she could do anything for my left wrist. I explained the situation and she said that acupuncture would help. i asked if she could see me that day, which was Christmas Eve, and she said to come back at noon. I did and within one hour I had full range of motion back in my thumb!!! I was absolutely astounded. I then saw her twice per week for a month and after the third visit I was able to turn my wrist side-to-side with full range of motion!!! Again, astounded. At the end of the month I saw my orthopadic surgeon and he dismissed me from his care as my range of motion had returned to normal. After four months of occupational thereapy my wrist saw slight improvements month-to-month. But after just a few visits with Dr. Rasmussen, I saw monumental improvements. So for anyone who is struggling with pain that traditional medicine is not addressing, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Rasmussen for acupuncture. I have actually had acupuncture in the past, but have never had such immediate results...Thank you Dr. Rasmussen!

Acupuncture restored my quality of life!

My name is Sheri Joyce. I am 52 years old, married and the mother of 2 boys. We have lived in Temecula for the past 22 years.

My health history:

Osteoarthritis of the spine, Severe arthritis in my neck, Moderate arthritis in my lower back and degeneration of the cervical intervertebral disc.

RX anti-inflammatory medications, Vicodin (when needed), Chiropractic adjustments (once a month)

Softball, working out and taking exercise classes at the gym. Jogging, water sports and taking my dogs for long walks.

My symptoms:

Headaches (daily), insomnia, constant neck pain (with limited range of motion) for the past 30 years. Occasional numbness in temple area, lower back pain (which caused heaviness in both legs) sciatic pain (left leg), stiffness in both knees, left shoulder pain, right elbow pain with numbness in the hand and loose stools.

Over the past 2 yearsmost of my hobbies have slowly ended. I have been taking anti-inflammatory medicines for the past 6 years and Vicodin when desperate. I started increasing the anti-inflammatory medicines as my pain increased but then I became tired all the time. My doctor took me off all anti-inflammatory medicines March 8, 2010. By following week my left leg ached 24/7. I couldn't sleep. I had no choice but to take Vicodin to survive the pain. My left shoulder started bothering me again and my right elbow was so painful I was unable to squeeze water out of a sponge. I felt my quality of life was slowly starting to fade and I was destined to end up in a wheel chair or in the surgery room.

My chiropractor and my doctor suggested I consider acupuncture.

I had a consultation with Dr. Rasmussen, Thursday March 18, 2010. it took everything in my being to not get emotional because I had run out of options. Dr. Rasmussen explained acupuncture and assured me that she could definitely help with the arthritis pain and could even restore the use of my right arm. Dr. Rasmussen suggested I make one appointment and then decide if acupuncture was going to work for me. I made an appointment for the following Monday.

My Emotional state of mind:

Friday March 19, 2010 was an emotional day for me. My husband and I went for a drive and said he hated to see me like this and we really needed to figure out what to do. I told my husband that I was going to try acupuncture and I had an appointment for this coming Monday. I can't live this way! I was depressed and aggravated at the same time. I became "that" person I swore I would never become. I was going to be the one who was going to just exist in life and not enjoy it. I couldn't enjoy my grandkids the way I wanted to enjoy the time I spent with them. I couldn't go to the gym anymore. I was unable to take my dogs for walks. Is this how it was going to be for me? Is this as good as it gets?

Monday, March 22, 2010 was the first day of the rest of my life!

After the first appointment:

I no longer had the loose stools. My range of motion increased. I felt like I had taken Vicodin to take the edge off my pain level but I hadn't taken a Vicodin at all.

After 1 week:

I was able to squeeze water out of a sponge, my sleep was better, my range of motion continued to increase, sciatic pain was no longer an issue.

After 3 weeks:

Every one of my symptoms is at a minimum. I cannot believe how much better I feel. My quality of life has improved. I actually feel alive. I am slowly adding activities back into my life with the recommendation from Dr. Rasmussen. I am getting back to my active life style.

It hasn't even been one month of treatment yet and my pain level has decreased dramatically. I have gone from a pain level of 8/9 with 10 being the worse to a 4. I will continue with my treatments until I am on a maintenance or an as needed treatment plan.

I totally recomment acupuncture to all my friends and family! I tuly believe Dr. Rasmussen restored my quality of life!

Thank you, Dr. Rasmussen......you're the best!!

My son has Tuberous Schlorosis and epilepsy. He is 17 years old and has a cognitive aptitude of a 4th grader. He has had about 20 peti mal seizure a day. That was normal for him. We have been going to Dr. Rasmussen since we moved down to Temecula in Aug. 2012, to see if chiropractic care would be something that could help him. She explained that chiropractic wouldn't hurt him and it would help with his neuro system. My son was scared of the actual process of chiropractic and she did another form of adjustment for him until he was comfortable with the actual process. She didn't pressure him as some doctors are known to do, she explained everything to him as she was doing it. She also got him involved in keeping track of his seizures, so he could feel in control of something. A thing no doctor had EVER done. Jordan was so excited to show Dr. Rasmussen his seizure log he kept and he was VERY excited the day he got up the nerve to allow her to do a normal adjustment. Now he is a pro! As of today 11/2012 my son's seizure rate has decreased by 90% to maybe 4 per day and sometimes none!! He has more energy and focuses more, so his learning ability is at it's all time high. He actually read a poem to me, something he couldn't have done in Aug. I will recommend chiropractic care to ANYONE who has any type of neurological disorder as well as epilepsy. I truly believe she provided my son with a better quality of life and she was just amazing with him!

Thank you...Dr. Rasmussen....you rock!!
